The Milwaukee M18™ QUIK-LOK™ Brushless 15" String Trimmer Kit (model 3115-21ST) is a split-boom cordless trimmer (M18™ QUIK-LOK™ Brushless Power Head plus QUIK-LOK™ 15" String Trimmer Attachment), sold as a kit with an M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ XC6.0 battery and an M18™ & M12™ Multi-Voltage Charger. Ready to run out of the box.
What it does well
- Brushless motor that Milwaukee rates as more powerful than 27cc gas power heads. It holds speed in thick growth instead of bogging down.
- Kitted with the M18™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ XC6.0, the battery Milwaukee optimizes this power head for.
- 5,900 max RPM, with a variable speed trigger for control along beds, fences and walks.
- Adjustable cutting swath: run at 15" for the most clearing per pass or 13" for longer runtime.
- Easy Load trimmer head holds 25' of line and reloads in under 30 seconds.
- Takes .080" or .095" trimmer line.
- Motor sits at the rear of the power head for better balance and maneuverability.
- Split boom fits every QUIK-LOK™ attachment, so one power head can also run an edger, hedge trimmer, pole saw, blower, cultivator and more.
- The battery and charger work across the M18™ system of 300+ tools.

The 3115 kit is the lower-cost way into the QUIK-LOK™ system.
- Room to grow: Milwaukee lists its QUIK-LOK™ attachments as compatible with the 3016-20, 3115-20 and 2825-20 power heads, so you can add an edger, hedge trimmer or pole saw attachment later instead of buying another tool.
