Details
The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 6" Random Orbital Sander (model 2584-22CX) is a 3/32" throw palm sander built for professional paint technicians — sanding clear coat and delivering a paint-ready finish on primer. It runs on the M12 battery system with a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS intelligence.
What it does well
- Variable speed range of 3,200 – 12,000 RPM set by speed dial and a feathering trigger for control at low RPM.
- 3/32" random orbit throw tuned for fine finishing on clear coat and primer.
- REDLINK PLUS intelligence and the POWERSTATE Brushless Motor hold pad rotation at low RPM when removing clear coat.
- Tool-free backing pad change plus left and right vacuum ports with a universal vacuum port adapter.
Is this the right sander for you?
This is a body-shop and refinishing tool. If you sand clear coat and primer and want cordless M12 control at low RPM without stopping pad rotation, it fits. The included soft 6" backing pad is optimized for clear coat removal; the tool references up to 5 doors of clear-coat sanding per M12 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT CP2.5 battery pack.
