The Milwaukee M12 FUEL™ 1/4" Straight Die Grinder Kit (3486-22) is Milwaukee's next-generation cordless straight die grinder, built to replace a pneumatic die grinder with no hose or compressor to drag around. It runs a POWERSTATE™ brushless motor rated at 0.5 HP and takes 1/4" shank accessories. This is a kit: it ships with two M12™ REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ battery packs (XC5.0 and CP2.5), an M12™ charger, a wrench and a contractor bag.
What it does well

This is the straight-body M12™ die grinder for rust removal, deburring, grinding, cutting and finishing: the daily work in truck and auto shops, fleet maintenance and metal fabrication. The tool is 10.82" long and weighs 1.56 lb without a battery, so it reaches straight into pipes, bores and tight spots on a vehicle. If you need to work around a corner or flat against a surface, the M12 FUEL™ 1/4" Right Angle Die Grinder Kit (3485-22) is the better fit. For deeper reach, Milwaukee also makes an extended straight model (3487-20).
