The Milwaukee M12 FUEL™ 3/8" Subcompact Impact Wrench Kit (3049-22) is a 12V cordless impact wrench built for tight underhood automotive work, delivering up to 225 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque from a tool that measures just 4.5" long and 2.0" wide and weighs 1.6 lbs bare. As a Kit, it ships with the tool and an M12 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ CP2.5 battery pack.

What it does well

  • Up to 225 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque and 200 ft-lbs fastening torque from a POWERSTATE™ brushless motor
  • 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL™ tops out at 0–3,400 RPM and 0–3,600 IPM, with single-handed mode changes
  • AUTO SHUT-OFF™ mode caps output at 15 ft-lbs in forward for hand-tight fasteners; bolt-removal mode slows RPM once a bolt breaks free
  • 3/8" friction ring anvil for fast socket changes, plus a Tri-LED work light to cut shadows in the work area
