M18 FUEL™ Compact Band Saw (Tool-Only)

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL Compact Band Saw (model 2829-20) is a cordless deep-cut compact band saw sold as a bare tool — the M18 battery and charger are sold separately. It ships with one 8/10 TPI bimetal Extreme metal-cutting blade and handles material up to 3-1/4" × 3-1/4", the largest cutting capacity of any compact band saw.

What it does well

• POWERSTATE Brushless motor drives the blade at 540 SFPM with an all-metal direct-drive gearing system for faster cuts and less servicing than a chain drive.
• 3-1/4" × 3-1/4" cutting capacity — the largest of any compact band saw — for cutting pipe, conduit, strut and bar stock.
• Tool-free locking adjustable shoe, variable-speed trigger and a built-in LED work light for control and visibility on the cut line.
• Integrated rafter hook for storage between cuts, plus pipe reamer attachment compatibility (49-90-2029, sold separately) to cut and ream with one tool.

This is the bare tool for pros already on the M18 platform who need a portable, one-handed band saw for metal cutting. If you don't own M18 batteries and a charger yet, plan to buy them separately or choose a kit instead.
