M18 FUEL™ Compact Router

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL Compact Router (2723-20) is a cordless trim router that accepts 1/4" shank bits and runs on a POWERSTATE Brushless motor for the performance of a corded 1.25 HP trim router. This is a bare tool — the M18 REDLITHIUM battery and charger are sold separately. It delivers up to 31,000 RPM and a variable-speed range of 10,000–31,000 RPM for control across hardwoods, softwoods and other materials.

What it does well

• POWERSTATE Brushless motor produces the power of a corded 1.25 HP trim router with a best-in-class 31,000 RPM top speed.
• Variable-speed dial runs 10,000–31,000 RPM for clean edges and fine detail work.
• Micro-adjust dial and macro-adjust button give fast, accurate depth changes across 1.5" of adjustable range, with fine adjustment beyond 1/64" increments.
• On an M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 battery it cuts up to 250 ft of 3/8" roundovers in red oak per charge; dual LED lights and REDLINK PLUS intelligence round out the tool.

Is this the right router for you?

This is a compact, one-handed edge-and-detail router for woodworkers already on the M18 platform — ideal for roundovers, chamfers, dados and template work with 1/4" shank bits. Because it ships as a bare tool, choose it if you own M18 batteries; if you need a battery and charger, buy those separately or look for a kit. It also pairs with the Milwaukee plunge base and offset base (both sold separately) to expand what it can do.
