The Milwaukee M12 FUEL Compact Band Saw Kit (2529-21XC) is a cordless 12V band saw built around a POWERSTATE Brushless Motor, with a 2-1/2" × 2-1/2" cut capacity. This is a kit: it ships with the tool, an M12 REDLITHIUM XC4.0 battery, an M12 charger, and a contractor bag, so it is ready to cut out of the box.
What it does well
- 2-1/2" × 2-1/2" cut capacity for pipe, conduit, Unistrut, and metal stock
- Weighs roughly six pounds with integrated blade covers, so it is manageable for one-handed use
- POWERSTATE Brushless Motor with REDLINK PLUS intelligence for full communication between tool, battery, and charger
- Variable-speed trigger, built-in LED work light, and an integrated rafter hook for storage between cuts

It is also compatible with the band saw reamer attachment (49-90-2029, sold separately), which mounts to the back of the tool so you can cut and ream with one tool. If you already run M12 batteries and want a full ready-to-work kit rather than a bare tool, this is the version to buy.
