The Milwaukee M12 Soldering Iron Kit (2488-21) is a cordless, battery-powered soldering iron that reaches operational temperature in under 18 seconds and runs off any M12 REDLITHIUM battery. As a kit, it includes the soldering iron plus an M12 1.5Ah battery and charger, so it is ready to use out of the box.

What it does well

  • REDLINK Intelligence heat indicator with a green LED at operating temperature and a red LED showing the tool is off but still hot — ready-to-use and safe-to-store.
  • 3-stop pivoting head adapts the tool for the application and reaches into confined spaces.
  • Tool-free tip change between chisel and pointed tips, plus an onboard LED work light. Delivers up to 40 minutes of run-time on an M12 Compact battery pack.
