The Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ 16" Chainsaw (model 2727-20) is a rear-handle, battery-powered chainsaw that runs on the M18™ system and cuts hardwoods faster than gas. This is a bare tool — the M18 battery and charger are sold separately. It drives a 16" Oregon bar and chain and reaches full throttle in under 1 second.
What it does well
- POWERSTATE™ brushless motor built to deliver the performance of a gas engine up to 40cc, holding speed under load without bogging down.
- 16" Oregon bar and chain with an automatic oiler and dual-stud retention; chain runs at up to 12.7 m/s with a maximum 6600 RPM.
- Variable-speed trigger for full throttle control, plus onboard storage for the scrench.
- REDLINK PLUS™ intelligence guards against overload, overheating and over-discharge while staying compatible with the full M18™ battery lineup.
