The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 3/8" Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring (model 2854-20) is a cordless, brushless impact wrench that delivers up to 250 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque from a housing just 4.8" long — the most compact in its class for reaching into tight spaces. This is a bare tool: the M18 REDLITHIUM battery and charger are sold separately.

What it does well

• POWERSTATE Brushless motor produces up to 250 ft-lbs of fastening torque, with speeds up to 2,400 RPM and up to 3,500 IPM.
• 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL sets output from a single button — Mode 1 (0–800 RPM / 0–1,000 IPM) through Mode 4 (0–2,400 RPM / 0–3,500 IPM), including an Auto Shut-Off mode that applies no more than 20 ft-lbs for hand-tight fastening and a Bolt Removal mode that slows RPM after breakaway to prevent fastener drops.
• Tri-LEDs surround the anvil to light the work area with fewer shadows, and the tool is rated to work in environments up to 69kV.
• REDLINK PLUS Intelligence protects against overload, overheating, and over-discharge; the 3/8" square friction-ring anvil holds sockets securely.
