M18™ 1/4" HEX Impact Driver CP Kit

The Milwaukee M18™ 1/4" Hex Impact Driver (model 2656-22CT) is a compact (CP) kit built for driving 1/4 in. hex fasteners on 18V M18 power. It runs a Milwaukee 4-pole frameless motor and delivers up to 1,500 in-lbs of fastening torque. As a “CT” kit it ships ready to work — the driver comes with M18 battery power and a charger (see What's Included).

What it does well

• Drives up to 1,500 in-lbs of fastening torque through a 1/4" hex quick-connect chuck for fast bit changes.
• Variable speed from 0–2,750 RPM and 0–3,450 IPM for control on small fasteners and power on long ones.
• REDLINK™ Intelligence manages tool, battery and charger together for overload protection and optimized performance.
• Onboard LED lights the work surface, plus an all-metal reversible belt clip for quick storage.

Is this the right impact driver for you?

This is the compact, budget-friendly M18 kit — it uses a brushed 4-pole motor (not FUEL/brushless) and 1.5 Ah compact batteries, so it favors light weight and lower cost over the maximum runtime and power of the FUEL line. Good for a pro or serious DIYer already on the M18 platform who wants a light, capable driver for everyday fastening rather than the heaviest-duty work.
