The Milwaukee M12™ 3/8" Ratchet Kit (model 2457-21) is a sub-compact cordless ratchet built for auto mechanics and maintenance/repair pros working in tight engine bays. Because this is the -21 kit, it ships ready to run: the ratchet, one M12™ REDLITHIUM™ 1.5 Ah battery, a 30-minute charger, a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter, and a carrying case are all included.
What it does well
- 12-volt brushed motor delivers up to 35 ft-lbs of fastening torque and 250 RPM for pneumatic-like speed without an air hose.
- 3/4" low-profile head reaches into tight spaces and confined engine bays.

At 1.9 lbs bare (2.3 lbs with the battery installed) and 10-3/4" long, it is tool-belt portable for repetitive fastening where a full-size impact would be overkill. It is a brushed, single-speed ratchet rated to 35 ft-lbs — ideal for speed and access, not high-torque breakaway.
